Effective leak detection - not only in compressed air lines
The ultrasonic leak detector not only finds leaks in compressed air systems. Other applications can also be covered with the highly sensitive leak detector. For example, leak testing of pressure tanks or other pressure vessels.
Where in a compressed air system the ultrasonic waves are normally generated by the overpressure on the lines and the outflow of the compressed air, ultrasonic waves can be generated for pressure leak testing of tanks, for example, via an ultrasonic generator which is placed inside the tank. The highly sensitive LD 500 can then be used to scan the edges, weld seams and other external contours. If there is a leak at the locations, the LD 500 will detect the ultrasonic waves emanating from the interior.
Where normally a pressure drop is measured over time, the LD 500 offers optimization of pressure leak testing in terms of time and flexibility. It can directly detect where the pressure vessel has a leak, it is also no longer necessary to work with an unclean leak detection spray – a clean workplace is hereby guaranteed.
