Moisture and oil measurement in wire drawing and cable manufacturing processes

A nitrogen-filled chamber is inserted into modern copper wire production lines to increase the flexibility and conductivity of copper wires. The purity of nitrogen in the chamber should be about 99%. If this is not the case, the produced wire is more fragile, and its conductivity is not satisfying. Furthermore, it is also important to use nitrogen to avoid an oxidation or a mist up of the produced wire.

For this reason, a continuous monitoring of the oil and moisture values at the inlet of the nitrogen generator is extremely important in order to keep the product quality.
